I’m OBSESSED with quotes and sayings. Sometimes it’s difficult to put into words how you are feeling at that moment and quotes often help me to find those words. For our wedding, we had old photos scroll across TV screens and we decided to add some of our favorite love quotes to do something different. We got a lot of compliments on this idea. Below are some of the quotes that we used.
June 11th was the anniversary of our first date and since we are newlyweds we will not be officially celebrating after this year. My husband and I decided we would celebrate with small gifts and a home cooked meal.
I was struggling to find a great gift for him. I hate spending money on silly things or things that will not get used. We’ve been really healthy and trying to get into great shape so I decided to get the hubby more equipment to add to our home gym. I was pretty sure that my gift would blow his out of the water but boy was I so wrong!
Richie surprised me with a trip to PARIS! Yes, you read that right…Paris here we come!!
I cried like a baby and was beyond surprised. I can’t even believe that he planned a whole trip to Paris for us. He is honestly the most romantic man in the whole world. He even remembered that I said I wanted to go to the lock bridge and bought us a lock to put on it. We will be going at the end of July and I’m beyond excited. I’ve never been so any recommendations, suggestions and tips are appreciated and would be so helpful!!!
After a whirlwind couple of months, I’m beyond excited to finally have time to share more details from our April wedding.
By far one of the best decisions that we made was hiring Jackie Pfeffer, better known as JacPfef, to shoot our wedding. I love pictures and there ability to capture moments that you want to remember for a lifetime so finding the right photographer was a MUST for us. After seeing pictures from a mutual friends wedding that she shot I had no doubt that we had to hire Jac. She’s funny, charming and boy does she know how to get the perfect shots.
Check out a sneak peak of some wedding photos on her blog. We should have all of the photos by next week and I can’t wait to share with you some of my favorite pictures from our special day. I have also compiled a list that I will share of the must-have wedding photos that every bride needs. Stay tuned 🙂
I am beyond excited to share with everyone this amazing short video of our beautiful wedding on April 20, 2013! It was such a magical day filled with more love than I ever could have imagined.
There’s nothing I love more than a quick, healthy smoothie. I am a HUGE fan of the NutriBullet and use at least once a day. This morning I made this smoothie as I was heading to yoga. Check out the recipe below!
1 cup almond milk
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
1 whole banana
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Have a fantastic day 🙂
It’s a snowy day in New York and I’m snowed in so I couldn’t hit the gym or go for a run!! But no excuses for this girl! I hit the elliptical for 45 minutes and then did weight training focused on my arms and abs!! I’m really proud of how far I’ve come and all the inspiration from my followers helps!!!
What keeps you motivated?
This is one of my favorite meals!! I have to admit that I don’t really measure as I cook so I will so my best to provide measurements in my recipes.
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. Scoop out the insides on the mushrooms and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and a little olive oil. Place in oven for approximately 25 minutes.
3. In the meantime, sauté an onion and fresh garlic in olive oil and balsamic. Next add three diced tomatoes to the garlic and onion and continue to sauté on medium low for about 3-5 minutes. Add a bag of spinach to the mix and cook until the spinach is wilted.
4. Take the mushrooms out of the oven and scoop the spinach mixture into the portabello mushrooms. Top with light mozzarella and pop back into the oven for about 3 minutes.
Super easy and super delicious!!
On Saturday, I completed by longest run to date!!! It was extremely challenging but I powered through!
